Question: Is the membership restricted to females within the Information Technology Channel?
Answer: No, membership is not restricted. In fact we welcome diversity, experience, and positive drive.
We simply ask that members support the mission of the organization to “champion the advancement
of women in the Information Technology Channel,”
Question: Is there a membership fee to participate in Women in Channels (WiC)?
Answer: During the first year of the organization’s existence, no membership will be assessed.
Beginning May of 2009, a minimal fee of $40 for new members will be assessed.
Question: If this is a non-profit organization, what will the membership fees be applied to?
Answer: All funding gathered from membership fees and corporate sponsorships are to be utilized
solely to support the costs incurred during various activities endorsed and organized by WiC, to
include but are not limited to:
Question: If additional costs are incurred for WiC activities, how will the organization cover costs?
Answer: WiC is funded by two main sources, membership fees, and corporate sponsorships. A variety
of sponsorship packages are available to corporate sponsors wishing to support the organization.

Answer: Bi-weekly with meetings varying in format: conference call and in person.
Question: How can I get involved in a committee?
Answer: WiC has established number of committees including:
• events
• membership and recruitment
• fundraising
• membership communications and website
